Dyssegaard is situated in an extremely scenic part of Denmark – a protected area, which also includes a wide variety of wildlife. During the summertime, geese and ducks frequently use the surrounding lakes. This magnificent diversity is "spiced with" the raven's cry – the heron's fishing – and not to forget the sea eagle's presence at the lakes, forests and surrounding coasts.
Roe deer, fallow deer, foxes and hares can daily be seen at Dyssegaard and if one is patient, it is possible to experience the wildlife at a close range. The flora on the farm and in the neighboring forests is large and varied therefore, Dyssegaard organizes nature related events and outings!
